Why share your stack

If you are wondering what you get—or what you risk—here is the straight answer. stackco.st is built so transparency helps you, not hurts you.

What you get

Sharing your stack is not just for the community—it is for your profile and your tools. Transparency helps other founders, and you get signal from how people engage. Here is the full picture.

Basically free marketing

Listing your stack costs nothing. You show up on founder pages, tool pages, and leaderboards so builders can find you without paying for ads.

Public founder profile

Your stack links to a public founder page. People can see who you are and what you ship.

Tool leaderboards and comparisons

Your tools show up where others compare real costs. You help the community benchmark what they pay.

Build in public credibility

Sharing real numbers signals you are serious. It is a signal founders and builders respect.

Real connections

Founders have already had co-founder interest from day one. Your stack is a billboard for the right people to find you.

Transparency other founders can use

Your honest stack and costs help others plan budgets and compare options. You turn private spreadsheets into something the community can learn from.

Signal from real traffic

Stack and tool pages show view counts so you can see interest over time. We also track outbound clicks; richer breakdowns for founders are on the roadmap.

First in line as we ship more

Tool claiming, reviews, ratings, and maker visibility unlock as we hit milestones. Stacks on the platform today are first in line—see the ship log for progress.

Any downsides?

The honest tradeoff: your stack and costs are public. Here is how we keep that fair.

You control what you share

Pick which tools to list. Use exact amounts or ranges, or mark costs as prefer not to say where it fits.

We do not sell your data

stackco.st is a transparency product, not a data broker. We do not sell or share your stack data with third parties.

You can change your mind

Edit your stack anytime from the dashboard, or remove it if you no longer want it public.

What is coming

The more stacks we have, the more we unlock for everyone—including you.

What you can do today

  • Add your real stack and costs so other founders can learn from you.
  • You get a public founder profile and your tools show up in discovery—basically free marketing while you share honest numbers.

Where we are headed

A lot of launch boards reward products that already have a following. If you have a solid build or idea but not many upvotes or followers, your work can stay invisible. We want to change that.

In the future, stackco.st will also work like a launch program: a place where early products get seen because they share real stack and cost transparency—not only because they won a popularity contest.

Longer term, we want to help surface other launch programs too, so launches can sit next to real cost context instead of living in a separate bubble.

stackco.st

The database of what it actually costs to run a startup. Built by founders who got tired of googling "[tool] pricing 2026".

Built with caffeine and questionable financial decisions

Not financial advice. Obviously.
